A very courteous people, can you imagine that happening in Australia? the fella giving instructions would be abused and when they finally managed to open up the traffic some moron would take advantage to get to the front of the queue.
In South Korea on their fabulous rail and I notice a man edging closer and closer to me. A step a minute type thing. finally standing next to me he comments on my kangeroo t shirt. My dad works away on the American base He says. I am Australian I say. He asks me to visit his home to meet his family and share a meal. I did and so was created a special life's moment to remember.
I was walking along a busy street when a car pulls up. Leaning from the window the driver yells out to me get in very poor English i will take you to where you are going. I Accepted, I ask him when I got to my hotel" you were going this way I hope? He says "no going the other way, just wanted to help"
i lernt some lessons in in their country. Australia is a great place but in some other places and in some other ways they do it better
On a recent visit to South Korea Jane and I were studying a map of Busan trying to find our way around and we could not believe the number of people who approached us asking if they could help us as we looked so lost.
They could not do enough for us.
If only this sort of hospitality was shown here and in some other countries the world would be a far better place.
