bull bar or no bull bar

G'day John, rock lizard. I had a deluxe ARB Steel bull bar fitted to a 2012 BT50 Mazda twincab, no way would you want a UHF aerial attached to it. would have been hypnotized in 500 metres. Got used to vibration but everything was double checked by Mazda and ARB ' thats the way it is mate". Now have the Smart Bar on 2017 200 series Landcruiser and almost like the original rolls royce claim with water glass on the bonnet. Plus very impressive video of testing this product. Also now look a little different to most L C, looks grow as well.
I had a Falcon ED 1994 and was only travelling at 25 k/m per hour, medium size roo hopped out of scrub and straight into headlight. If I had been doing 30 it would have been a tow truck/tilt tray for sure as radiator trans cooler was about 30mm from destruction. my 2 cents worth for free ( sorry dougwee) cheers again Craig

Bull bar is a bit like insurance. Why pay for insurance I never need it.
Why install a bull bar I will never hit anything UNTIL it happens.
Great accessory for shopping centre car parks when some tool reverses into you
an either denies it or takes off without leaving details.

 Hi deverall,

Many moon ago I parked in the city of Sydney. I had a Jag XJ6 park in front of my trusty Hi Lux 4 x 4 with 2mm in between bumpers. When I say 2mm My neck tie would not fit between.

Soooooo.... I had to leave after another few hours. The Ford behind me left a generious 1ft between.

So I went over and locked the front hubs in. Went back to the group I was with  smilesmilesmile.

Will the beast do it, I was asked. Watch.biggrin so another 10 minutes pasted. I was Blocked in total.

After saying my fair wells to all I got in. I put my fourby into low four and raised the clutch just a bit at first to make contactbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin Then I let her Ripwinkwinkwinkwink.

Then I got out and disinguaged the front hubs, gave a wave and left. Thankyou.biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Jim

Hit a big fat white feathered bird yesterday in the Ranger. Has broken my grille. Was doing about 100kph. First bird I've ever hit that broke something. The bang was enormous.

Just priced a black Ford nudge bar for the Ranger Wildtrak, Ford price,  $1600.00.Yeah right. Chrome the same price.

I know they can be bought elsewhere but due to the amount of senses on the car, probably negate warranty.

Gday...

Actually little dick (gee that's hard to type ) ... reputable bull bar manufacturers and installers have bars that comply with all the sensors, including air bag sensors and have absolutely no impact on warranty.

Indeed, most manufacturers/dealers will install an approved bull bar and honour warranty.

cheers - John
