Icecream disaster...

Sunday was our get away late and weigh the rig, then to Ararat. I had the fridge on 240v for 24 hours and as we left the freezer was at -20. Turned fridge to 12v and headed off. Weghing did not take to long and we eventually arrived at Green Hill Lake reserve in time for a late tea. We got the air purged from the gas line and fridge fired up on gas.

After tea Eril asked if I wanted a Drumstick and "my word" I said. Took the wrapper of and the top nearly fell off. Bloody soft!!!!

Today I measured an open circuit on the 12v element.furious.gif

This thread is getting nowhere fast. Not sure why some on this forum get pleasure in being nasty?

Come on Cindy get the padlock out.

And I agree totally with Dougwe ....some people are so nasty that they cannot see the actual issue here regarding the fridge. tis just a bit nasty to find out with a droopy ice cream too...as I,m with aussie paul here....enjoy an ice cream as a treat at the end of the day as well.

I don't think Cindy needs to lock this ....just boot the offending posts off here along with a terse PM.

Cheers  Keith

Personally I love drumsticks so much I'd suck it up with a straw and once had half a 4 litre container of Streets top drawer extra cream icecream melt almost down to blood heat - drank that straight from the plastic container.

Regards

But this post wasnt really about the drumstick but the fact that the fridge wasnt working .

Perhaps tex take his long handle and ride off into the sunset and learn some tolerance ,

Feel for you Paul, hope you get it fixed soon and that's your only problem for the trip. As far as the Spoiler goes no need to close the thread. lets just send him on a nice trip to Coventry.

Just a quick reminder to please keep posts respectful. We would like to keep our forum a positive place. If you disagree with someone, that is fine ... but please keep comments focused on the topic itself, not at the person who posted it. Thanks for your cooperation.

For a fellow who has a ball weight problem, and a softie to-boot, I feel your pain. Hang in there, its good to see you up and about.

Texas, its nearly your anniversary to this forum and you can say you've been a member for 4 years, having contributed 10 posts, good work. We need positive member contribution, of late I have noticed members leaving, or just reading and not being as active as they once were, eh Chief, I myself am contemplating the same.

Bare in mind that for each member that leaves goes a wealth of information, so please go out side, kick a tree, and come back in a better mood.

we had an icecream disaster too. Had been working on a cattle station for 3 mths without a visit to town for shopping as the station were feeding us and the wringers. No ice cream on the menu. I love Sara Lee Ultra Chocolate and promised myself a tub when we left the station. So did a big shop in Charters Towers including the ice cream and headed south on a very hot day. Was thinking all day about how delicious the ice cream was going to be tonight. Finally got to Aramac for the night but sadly on entering the van the tub of ice cream was on the floor, still within its container but melted. Someone had not locked the freezer door . Not to be denied I put it back in the freezer intending to eat it next day but even re-frozen it tasted terrible. Lesson, double check fridge locks when travelling.

I see that Texas won't make his 4 year anniversary.

For the life of me I can't work out why some see the need to make personal posts, especially when they hide behind a pseudonym, and don't have the courage of their convictions to put their own names to posts. I guess it must be a cyber space bravado type of thing!

Personally, the top falling off of a Drumstick is a major disaster. Any loss of ice cream is to be avoided at all costs! (If you knew me and my body, you would see I live by this adage!)
