Bloody Oath.
Trying to convince the other half.
Coz, the closer I get to home.
The more bad tempered I get.

I live for my holidays & we always have 2 or 3 in a row planned well ahead of time. Every day I cross off each day on the calendar so that I know the next holiday is getting closer. One person I used to work with had a countdown clock!

And just like Kaid, usually about 2 days before coming home I get a little bit "pissy" & grumpy as I can see reality creeping closer again. I dont think I will ever be completely happy until I am on holiday 24/7, 365 days!

2 * 6 month holidays would work for me!

Retirement is a myth, perpetuated by employers to keep us working!

And is highly over rated, IMHO!

Fact is, we are already planning another trip to ski Japan next January! Only 2 weeks, but the planning takes 12 months! (and saving for it takes 12 months too!)

Being a full time GN I don't get any sort of holidays, sick leave, weekends, annual leave. It's a 24/7 all year round job.

Oh well! I wouldn't like to take work of anyone out in the real world.
