No problem.
Engage the services of a qualified electrician familiar with AS3001 etc.
Any one who tries to tell you how to do it on a public forum is very foolish.

Cheers,
Peter

It's not technically difficult but it is a little involved.

It's very similar to wiring a standby generator into a house, the basic switching is done with a break-before-make change-over switch. With the use of a suitable contactor it may be done automatically following the loss of mains power.

However you do have to understand and cater for appropriate sized circuit breakers and wiring. Wiring and earthing must be done with a view to ensuring any ELCBs still operate correctly and an understanding of whether the inverter is fully isolated or not and the consequences thereof.

As I said in a recent thread; I think this is one of those jobs where if you need to ask on an internet forum how to do it then you should pay a professional instead.

I don't see the joke.  It is a valid question with a positive answer.

It can be done & to a qualified electrician it is not a problem.

My van has exactly that done to it.

x2...seems some people have nothing better to do than play games, for their own enjoyment.

Mike Harding and Peter n Margaret took time to provide sensible, helpful answers to the posted

question, only to find that it was only some clown playing games. Too much spare time, perhaps?

                                                                                                                                      Cheers.

Gday...

WOHAAA there pardners confuse ... the subject provided with the OP is "Oh boy... this will start a few posts.. :)"

That sort of gives an impression of a bit of tongue-in-cheek surely. confuse

....and yep - Mike and Peter did provided sensible responses ... but that doesn't mean the poster was being a 'troll'.

I would suggest to the contrary ... the poster was flagging a wry post.

OP subsequently suggested/agreed it praps shoulda bin posted in the Jokes Section.

Cheers - John

This is the TECHNICAL section of the forum. In hind sight, it was clearly posted as a wind up. The OP was not looking for an answer to any question.
That clearly means TROLL.

Cheers,
Peter

According to my on-line dictionary,a definition of Trolling is:-                                                                                                                   .         The Art of deliberately, cleverly and secretly p...ing off people,                                                                               .      .         usually via the internet..                                                                                                                                     .         .         I believe that Peters summary and description is accurate.                                                                                         .             ,         Happy travels...... I thought the fact it was a jpeg image and I don't have a "Swan" would have stopped people jumping to their keyboards.

Crikey Paul! no apology called for here, people here are taking themselves way too seriously.

However, having said that, some of these threads that rapidly degenerate into slanging matches do provide a degree of light entertainment, cant believe just how thin skinned some are.biggrin

It  something that only  a Licensed electrician SHALL do, By  State Electrical Acts & regulations ,in ALL Australian States!
Even if one thinks they know all about it.
