The Oodnadatta Track, is an unsealed 617 km (383 mi) outback road between Marree and Marla via Oodnadatta in South Australia. Quite do-able with your setup. No-one can accurately predict road conditions in that country 4 months in advance. Suggest you contact Marree Police Just prior to your leaving.
What ever the road conditions at the time be aware it is almost impossible to pull off to the side of the road most of the distance without becoming bogged.

Possum3 are you saying that pulling up for a lunch stop for instance off the road is not possible. We will be on this road in August, and I assumed that we would be able to drive off the road for any stops we want to make. Including overnight stops.

There are lots of spots where you can pull up for lunch or rest stops along the Oonadatta Track. When we travelled it the side of the road was rock hard, but of course that would depend on any recent rain.
