Too much solar no it was just Kellog

Well we took the camper for a run to Ararat on the weekend to Green Hill Lake meet up with two friends so we circled the wagons we got the south side so the solar panels were facing south they are mounted on the boat rack so they are also Verticle they got no direct sun and the day was mostly overcast anyway so I am pleased to report the 400W of solar recharged the batteries very nicely from 12.4 in the morning to 13.2 by the evening beer , ohh alright so it was the second beer

so I were a very. Happy camper ,,,, because of the solar ..... ok ok so the beer helped too.

nice spot too

Well done mate. Sounds like ya had a great time with a great result. I find I get similar results when the sun is hidden somewhat as well with my 450w up on the roof of the teepee.

Just a couple of things though. 1. I heard it was 3 beers before you even got to "evening beer" confuse. 2. Who was doing all the w..k while ya woz away confuse. Sorry mate, still can't bring myself to say that W word no

Keep Safe on the roads and out there. (Down on the farm as well)

Yep about that here . Kept adding . Better stop now . Just fitted a GOOD charger to boost batteries off the generator or 240v in overcast days like today . Found 20 min in morning and afternoon is enough on bad overcast days . We used geny to boil hot water . When we donât have anyone nearby .

Just curious your rv battery gets down to were it needs a charge no sun ,so the panel is useless,I have a 12v to 12v charger hook the car up to the rv run the car for lets say 20 minutes the battery comes up ,who needs a geney, my brother in law is a freecamping freak and has never needed a geny his power use is just Tv and LEDs ,mines similar but we have a hot water system powered by gas, shower during the day with full sun on the panel ,we freecamp regularly ,why bother with a geny unless your a big user ,I know if you have a run of Rainey days you need a geney, with us we just head for a c/p and this has only happened on very rare occasions...
