what is best blue tick mobile

Would like to know what mobile is recommended for coverage in out of the way places. We have always had a blue tick Telstra  phone with external aerial but current one just starting to play up and now cannot buy one with external aerial port. HELPnono

Welcome to the forum Sue,

I bought my wife and I an IPhone 7 plus to replace the Samsung 6 phones that were blue ticked but proved to be useless anywhere but close to phone towers. I might add we were on the Telstra network as this may have a big bearing on phone reception.

I must be missing something ... and THAT is not unusual ... but I cannot find reference to an external antenna

Thanks Jenny & Barry. I had been told the Flip2 had an aerial but was wondering if anything else is as good. Do you have this phone and if so are you happy with it?

I read through that user guide Ian and there isn't anything about aerial is there, which seems a bit strange. Have been told by a few places that it does have the port in back so will have to investigate a bit further.

Thanks for your reply. Do you find the 7 has good coverage because we do quite a lot of out of the way places. It's so hard to decide what to buy these days because the stores only tell you what they want to so they can sell the phones.

Our 7s are much better than the Samsung phones on Telstra but they do not support an aerial.

If full coverage is imperative the get a satellite phone.

Your mobile phone requirements will be totally dependant on where you will need service.

Have tried a number of blue tick phones but if you are in a poor reception area get one that has an extn aerial. ( usually a phone with an extn aerial will not be a great smart phone but if you require a phone connection this maybe required.

Note External RF port for even better connectivity.
