Aussie Paul  that is spot on, and exactly how I live my life. Certain dinnerware is used whenever I want, some that don't know me well ask if I am having a dinner party, because of the dinnerware I have used,  I answer no, they seem surprised at the use of things that  some would pull out only on what they would consider special occasions. Recently I was making a lemon meringue roulade from scratch (no shop bought ready made stuff here) and was asked if I have someone coming  over, I answered no, that I wasn't expecting anyone. I soon learned that my new neighbour of a few doors away had  a very inquisitive nature, and then she asked so your making this for yourself?  I said yes, for myself  and  for anyone else that may like some. seems people are surprised that some  of us don't make a big deal over THINGS and would never keep them just sitting in a display cabinet. I will enjoy all in and  around  me today, tomorrow and along the beautiful road ahead.
Everything in life is subject to decay and dying,  no matter what it is.  So yes go for it all and enjoy.I can relate to this well. Thank you for  posting....regards Kisha.

Agree with all the above, Paul

If I have any spare cash left over when the big day comes

It will mean that I was just too lazy to spend it

a former workmate was fond of saying that life comes without any warranty. we only get one go at it. No reruns!
