G'day all, 

To continue after the broken spring problem,we continued to Bell,Ban Ban Springs, 

Thus far the spring has given us no problems and at Ban Ban Springs, we met up and travelled together with 

our friends from Bundy. Continued to Mundubbera, Eidsvold( RM Williams Centre), Biloela,Dululu,and then Rockhampton.

We stayed at Parkhurst CP which was to be a limited stay. Good little park, friendly staff.

However our friends EvaCool Upright 131lt fridge decided to work only for the freezer. 

We had it checked out by an expert who stated that the gas level was lower than it should 

be. We suggested a regas could be done. Sorry not able to be done as it is illegal to regas 

So a new fridge had to be purchased and sent up from Bundy as Rocky didn't have any.

2 Days later it arrived and installed, however the manual stated that it hat to be installed into a cabinet.

So a cabinet was manufactured and fitted around the fridge and after working late into the night it was

all OK. Since then we have travelled to Duaringa a lovely low cost camp, ( many there overnight.) 2 nights

here to check the fridge was working properly. Then we went off to Emerald to stay at the Botanical Garden Rest area.

Al the hard standing places were taken but we found 2 spots on the dirt that were reasonably flat.Great place. We were inundated with 

wizzbangers that weren't too noisy,except for the one who ran his vehicle into a large boulder creating some damage.

There understanding of English was limited so we couldn't do too much to help.Today we travelled to Sapphire to stay for 4 days.

Staying at Gemini Caravan Park. Lovely people, very helpful, we arrived in time for the market, heaps of people there.

Maybe we'll get rich searching for Sapphiresno We have limited internet access so we will be on when we can. 

So far it has been an interesting trip full of challenges and great people all in a fantastic country.

Great place Sapphire we have stayed there twice. there's a place just out of town that for a few dollars will teach you how to sieve for stones, and find some. well worth the expense

Sounds like some fun and games but with a good outcome so now it's time to enjoy the playground and maybe find some nice sparkly things in Sapphire.

Did a bit of fossiking yesterday, found a couple of possibilities that could be cut.

the rest were for the grandkids to see. This has started the process of getting hooked .

The Gemini Park we are staying at has only been opened for 3 weeks, It's a basic park 

with friendly owners and caretaker. Found it on Wiki Camps. $15p.n. $100 p/week. They can only fit in 12 Vans.

Two corners of it are working Mine Sites

I'll post it on the camps list.

When I used to visit the gemfields, the Gemini wasn't even thought of as a caravan park.

I'll wait and see what changes have been wrought when I visit later this year. Haven't been there for four years this time around. As for Sapphires, plenty of dirt is mixed with them. The trick is to discard the dirt and keep the saphs! Biggest cuttable stone I ever found was an 18 carat Tomahawk green. They are called Tomahawk greens, because they are found at Tomahawk Creek, 45 km from Rubyvale by road.
