I have installed a table top on a Nuovo Mapa Table Leg in the club lounge of our van, but the table top is wonky. There appears to be a lot of flexing coming either from the table leg or the foot - I screwed the table leg down. If my wife or I put a cup of tea on the table top then sit down without holding the cups off the table top, tea spills everywhere. The mounting bracket for the table leg has been affixed as per manufacturers instructions as well.
I'm also wondering if anyone else has this problem?
Any recommendations/suggestions for rectifying this problem would be welcomed, as we don't want to revert to sitting at the dinette all the time (the van is a 29 ft Regal RSV)

Thanks for the advice. As far as I can see thus far, the top is flexing on the leg and the leg is flexing on top of the floor. My thought was that it may be because I had screwed in down rather than bolting it. Bolting may be a bit difficult for me unless I enlist the aid of someone who has not had knee replacements - makes the knee joints stiff and hard to get down and up again!
I was also planning on taking the sleeve off to check if the leg is flexing in the inner. that will also assist me, I think. What are your thoughts?
Regards
Dave

I don't think screwing rather than bolting is NOT the problem. At least not unless the screws have worked loose this quickly.
Can you sit on the floor rather than kneel. I think you need to get down and see if the floor flexes whilst someone sits behind the table and flexes it.. If the floor flexes then you will need to screw an extra piece of ply under the floor and bolt through the two thicknesses.
