Wifi modem regularly dropping the internet connection

The WIFI modem in my van drops the internet connection after my Computer/TV has been idle for a while. I keep on having to continually reboot the modem to have the connectivity returned. I have followed the instruction manual regarding reconfiguration of the modems software however this has not rectified the problem. Has anyone had the same problem and can anyone suggest a fix.confuse

Yep I have had that but only in a fringe Low signal ) area. when we move and have better signal strength no more problems

Some modems have a screen time out / sleep mode that can be turned off or increased.

gee Bill B Thats interesting,, mine does the dropout thing as well..It's a telstra thing, and giving me grief.. Where do i change the settings '

Which modem do you have ?

If it is a Nighthawk in WiFi Settings ,Sleep, Disable.
