I have a 21 - 22 ft Regent caravan which has a Suburban Gas/Electric HWS in the front right corner, under the bedside cabinet and taking up part of the tunnel boot, so where did Regent put the shower when they built the van? Right at the back, of course. Does anyone out there know of some sort of booster to get the hot water to the shower so it is still hot when having a shower? At present, by the time the water gets to the shower, it is little more than lukewarm.

You never get a second chance at a first impression, so make the first a good one.
If you by-pass the tempering valve you will increase the temperature of the water to the shower but will still lose a degree or two in the travel to the back. I suffered the same thing but all good now.
I also ripped out the tempering valve for the same reason.. I put in a red water diverter valve at the shower end also which returns the low temp water back to tanks.. that saved about 3ltrs going to waste at the bathroom..The valve tempers at 50c, so its safe
Dave, It could be that your tempering valve is set too low in temperature. Just adjust it so you get a shower at the right temperature without having to use the cold water tap.

Our van has the Suburban hot water in a front bedside cupboard and shower at the back and our water is well and truly hot enough in the shower. I would suggest you check your tempering valve setting.
Thanks all for your advice. What I know about hot water systems and electricity you could scratch on a very small aspro with a very large pick. I can google the tempering valve and how to adjust it, though.
Thanks again, all.

Dave The tempering is usually under the van it has a plastic lid when once removed has a indent in the top square/triangle that fits the spindle . You simply put it on and turn to adjust if you go the wrong way you will know as it will be colder.
They are installed in your hot water line going to a tap or shower head. An extra water pipe is required to connect to the valve to carry the cold water back to your tank.
I have one installed in our longest hot water line, to our kitchen as we are on tank water.
Quoted from Redwater website:-
"Our Research Has shown that an average household using the Redwater Diverter system could save approximately 16,000 litres of water every year, that's approximately *9.3% of potable water used! These figures are only based on average daily usage. You could save even more than this!
To help save water, the Brisbane City Council recommend residents have 4 minute showers. If you install the Redwater Diverter system the first half of your 4 minute shower won't be cold!
To test how much you can save, wait until the hot water pipes have cooled overnight, then use a bucket to catch the Redwater at the hot tap in your kitchen and bathroom. When the hot water arrives, turn off the tap and measure how much water is in the bucket.
If you waited at your kitchen sink for 1 minute, you could save approximately 9 litres each time you use the tap!"
