hi Everyone, I love reading all your experiences. I bought a Ford Transit 1999 that has previously been converted to a campervan in April this year and has been fixing it up since. Mostly cosmetics. I'm finally ready for my first trip this weekend. Planning on heading out about 3 - 4 hours from Brisbane - making sure it's travelling all OK. I'm planning on working - hopefully at caravan parks from early next year. Once the youngest child leaves for uni at end of January. I am so excited - have already got rid of most stuff - it's amazing how little stuff we really need Will see you out there:) Susan

Hi Everyone I am finally on a longer trip. Left Brisbane yesterday and aiming to be in Nelligen, NSW by Sunday. I am in Port Macquarie tonight and travelling through Sydney tomorrow. A bit nervous as i have never driven in Sydney! I am currently studying the map and tryimg to determine the easiest road. Should i go via Wollongong or Goulburn? I would prefer to avoid steep mountain passes! Thanks Susan

Goulburn is on the Hume Hwy so good Road. Wollongong is the pretty route but will involve a steep descent unless you plan going through Sydney to get on the Princes Highway. Either way have a great trip.
