Do any forumites collect antique Dinky, Micro Model etc cast metal cars? These toys of yesteryear are around 70 years old and were very popular with boys of that era.
I have quite a large collection of cast metal Dinky cars from the early 1950's to the early 1960's. these cars were toys given to me as a child and consist of 40-50 different models made by Dinky toys in the UK and Micro Models in Aus.
All of the models have been fully restored or are in original condition.. If anyone is interested, I will post some pictures of these antique toys.
My Mum worked at Lesney's in London, when she and Dad were first married. The Matchbox cars were made there, and she used to bring the odd reject home for me as a 2 year old.

Corgi in Swansea was once a client of mine and I once dealt with a retired couple in WA who had boxes and boxes (well over 5 thousand) assorted Corgi, Dinky etc models that they had bought as a job lot and brought over from the UK with them. I used to have a Triang Hornby 3 rail railway set with a nice collection of trains and carriages - sadly, my Mum gave it away while I was in College despite the fact she knew I wanted to keep it!
Most of the ones shown are dinky and Corgi models from the early 1950's to the 1960's. Some have been restored and some are in original play worn condition.
I have many others from matchbox, lesney etc but the dinky/corgi models are my favorites. Interestingly, most of the spare parts for these models are still available from suppliers. Show me a real auto manufacturer who can do this.

Is the blue on grey a Hudson?- reminds me of one my family had in the 40's - I think it was a Hornet with a split screen at rear as well.
