Water leak in combo toilet shower

On recent trip around Eyre pennisular We had water coming out from under the shower base. Van is a 2005 jayco freedom poptop. I checked underneath & found a cleaning cloth blocking the p.v.c. manifold where all the various drains end up, kitchen sink, vanity & shower. Have checked all taps & associated pipes & none are leaking. I,m not sure if l,ve fixed the problem because the water did not come back up the shower drain when the original problem occured. Could toilet flush tank be leaking? It seems to be o.k. now but because water was between shower base & floor l,m still puzzled how it got there. Big job to take out shower base as You all know! Any thoughts? Joda.

Cake dyes, use a different colour in each suspect. Say red in the vanity, Yellow in the shower, blue in the toilet flush. Probability is that it was just backing up from the cleaning cloth. Being vegetable dyes shouldn't colour things but best to check first.

I had a Blocked Ball valve on the Blackwater tank drain.  SWMBO used wet wipes. Supposedly flushable. Definitely NOT. Not a nice job.

Hated Plumbing since.

Will try the dye as You suggest, with caravans You need a bloody x-ray machine. The water did not seem to come from the shower outlet, there was no water trail from the drainhole to where the water was. There was water dripping out of a pipe access hole under the van the access hole is under the shower base. Maybe the shower drain outlet is leaking in between the shower base & the van floor, if so the dye should tell me. Thanks for the idea, at least You have kickstarted My brain, Will report on progress. John.

Joda, we have camped on Airstrip paddock right near the big shed - Take some extra time to see the Colonial Museum in Temora while you are there - a good place to spend two or more days.
