The motorhome is all packed & ready to go & I'm heading off tomorrow. Excited, nervous, & wondering if I'm a little crazy, travelling around the countryside completely on my own. I've done several trips of 2/3 wks duration before in my old motorhome but had my dog & best mate with me so I never really felt like I was alone. Now she's gone it's very different & very daunting so I guess we'll just give it a go & see what happens. This has been a long time coming so looking forward to some new places & faces & hopefully some great times & amazing sights.

Hi Dianne,
I know how you feel! I'm leaving on my first long road trip by myself next Thursday and don't know anymore if I'm nervous or excited! I'm so glad there are other solo travellers besides me!
Enjoy every moment

Dianne,
All the best. You'll love it, I'm sure. A great adventure and a whole new world to see. Where will you head? Let us know how you go and if you get to QLD, we could have a chat.
Cheers,
Roy.
Enjoy your new adventure, Dianne, it's a big wide world out there. There are lots of solo women travelling this big brown land and the ones I've been lucky to meet on my just-completed first lap of this country are having a ball. We're a big family here so don't be afraid to ask for advice or tips. As others above have said, just take your time, don't plan too far ahead, treat every day as a new adventure, and trust your gut instincts.
Happy and safe travels
Joe

Well done Dianne. I have just rejoined the solo s and having a ball. Planning a second lap the way I wanted it first time - my rules this time. See you all on the road.
Welcome to the gang Dianne, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I won't add much more to the above replies, only to say that If you make the effort to say hi to your neighbours and people you come across they will return the hi back and before you know it, you might be on your own, but never lonely. There are also many people out here in the playground only too willing to help if needed.
I am solo after many, many moons of not being solo and have made many friends, some life long since travelling around living in my aluminium teepee.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

All the best with your travels Dianne. I often travel & camp alone, I must admit there are times when the solitude can be extremely enjoyable. I also enjoy the company of those I meet along the way. I do have my home that I go back too, yet to do a big solo trip. I look forward to that day too. Safe & happy trails.
Remember, if you have any issues at all, reach out here on the forum. All sorts of skills and help all over the country. Great bunch of people, some have been there done that and the rest of us learning as we go.
