walkerville foreshore camping reserve

My partner and i had booked a powered site at the walkerville foreshore caravan park and due to a serious tyre blowout causing wheel and brake damage, we had to cancel at the last minute, telling the lovely lady there that if we could get a new wheel down in 2 days that we would make the last day,to no avail, the wheel came late so we had to cancel again. Well the wonderful people operating this park fully refunded our booking, What a pleasant surprise this was, finally an understanding and generous caravan park, I would recomend this park to all and sundry....we are very grateful

Glad to hear of a positive experience! Drove past there when I went Wilsons Prom way. Liked the look of the serenity & also the lovely bay just past it.

I will get there...one day!

Malcolm, you missed a nice place indeed and I tell you that for free.

I spent many weekends and a week here and there many moons back now, all great stays. It's more a camping area than caravan park though but has plenty of spaces along the fence near water or back in among the bushes that vans can fit. Yes, the caretakers were and probably still are nice people. I know they are different caretakers to when I was going there. The shop is also very nice too. They had nice home made ice cream there as well at the time. The park closed during the winter months back then too. Weather can be very nasty indeed at that time of year.

A nice area all around there.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Heading to Walkerville for a 2 night stay next Saturday 24th then back to Venus Bay CP (10 nights) for a bit of surf fishing.

As Dougwe has said it's a great place & area, we've been there many times.
