Guess it depends on how deep your pockets are . I run pretty much the same setup as you except for the rooftop tent but i have a heavy boat loader up top and I from the look of mine I wouldn't bother.

Are your calculations with weight within the spec of the car. It is the east end of the GRR that more care needs to be taken. Correct tyre pressure and drive slower. Slower because of the road and because the tyres are under inflated.

Did it earlier this year in my 2013 BT, towing 1700 kg trailer.
Front suspension was soft and will be upgraded before my next trip.
Mazda alloy nudge bar vibrated off (broke the alloy brackets)
Other than that it handled it very well.

If one is desperate to spent money! I personally would spend it on TPMS first, this is simply insurance to save tyres in remote areas, I have learnt this expensive lesson. You do not realise how vulnerable you are until you are in that position. Get a second spare, that is a given anyway!

Tyre repair kit, dual compressor & 4L air tank, I will suggest the ARB as I personally have been impressed, 35 seconds per corner from 20 to 35 PSI on tyres with 60 litre volume, with my setup.

What spare fuel set up have you thought of, plus fire extinguishers! I have 4 x 10L & 2 x 5L on the roof.

East end, it might only be 341 km, but fuel is expensive!

Lots of BT50's carrying bull bars on their roof rack after a bit of rough road driving. So many people doing the GRR these days, expect traffic jams along the way.

Ours was just a very light nudge bar that broke (and not just a bit of rough road - we had also done the Savannah Way which was far worse that the GRR)

Up there for 5 weeks in July/August and did not see any other bull bars on the roof.

It was a busy time of the year, but plenty of room for everyone.
