Has anyone got and set up one of these monitors?

They are available under different brand names...mine is a BEP.

I did a RESET and then SETUP & PROGRAMMING. Don't get an Amps input or output reading, only 0.Amps.

Instructions mention after reset it needs a DC 10amp load calibration.

So, how would you achieve a 10amp DC load?

All wiring & connections appear correct including the SHUNT.

Any suggestions welcome.

There are only three possibilities that it will not show some charge or discharge current if there is actually a current flow to or from your battery.

  1. Incorrect wiring
  2. incorrect setup
  3. You have a bum device.

How many wires do you have connected to the negative terminal of the battery?

Thanks, located the problem after closer inspection.

Shunt was not connected through the Battery Negative at all. Why? Who knows...poor installer perhaps.

Relocated Shunt near battery and redirected Battery Negative through Shunt...all good now.

Rather careless on my part to not have noticed that. Had assumed that installation was correct in the first instance.
