SWMBO has Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and in 2017 went through Chemo and maintenance programs.
They worked quite well and the oncologist was quite pleased with the result. Then in October 2018 she found a lump in her cheek
and had it checked out by the oncologist. He wasn't sure what it was so off to ENT specialist who bunged her off for MRI's
and various other tests. Outcome, just before Christmas was sent off for a biopsy (fine needle in the cheek). On 4 Jan received a call from the specialist
to advise that the lump is benign. So great news, still have to see the oncologist in Feb to see if we can go on the road again and for how long.
Have just seen this post Peterpan, good news for Hilary, so pleased for her.
Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma is the same as I had 2016. Chemo and Radiation all of that year. 2017 I had 3 monthly pet scans and visit to my oncologist then 2018 6monthly with blood tests, which is continuing through 2019.
Can I ask where Hilary had the NHL, mine was in my abdomen. I hope Hilary is feeling a lot better now, not sure when you are supposed to get back to 100%, I know I'm nowhere near it.
All the best Hilary.
I'm hoping to get back to Sapphire after my next lot of tests at the end of March. All going well I should be there some time in April.
My treatment is through the Royal Brisbane and oncologist is Dr Steven Lane.
I'm seeing my home doctor here in Echuca and having a few tests over the next few weeks, hopefully that will be all clear also.
