With family at The Entrance NSW . Walked the lake out to ocean . Walked back picking up two nappies, 15 plastic bags including chip bags . 6 batteries and heap of bottles . All with in 10m of rubbish bin . Top place . Why do people leave crap like this ? Should have fines similar to Singapore ! ATTITUDE !!

Many standards of decency has dropped.
To avoid doing my head in I try to accept that modern society is irretrievably broken unless there is some form of radical change.
Until then, best to collect it, as you have done and not let the event spoil your life.

Bring back the stocks. Or post pics of them doing these things. Embarrass them . But oh no that will be demeaning !! Too many soft Richards ( shorten name) making laws these days . Quite funny I remember my grand parents, parents saying the same .. I dont have to if I dont want too society, generation . Or are we just grumpy old pharts . Mind you I grew up listening to older generation as they had lived it !! Knowing I was only 20-30 years behind .
As we live 5 mins from the Murray its easy to grab the tinnie go 1 kay to a small ramp and off we go.I have a cosy spot that I get to thats got lots of willow trees that I push into so as I,m out of the sun and you cant see me or the tinnie as I fish .Well a couple pulled up on the Vic side and duly set up the van etc and then the bloke grabs a shovel and goes to his boot and takes out a big rubbish bag and toddles along the riverbank about 50 mtrs so he is almost opposite me though he can,t see me.He then digs a shallow hole beside a tree and buries the bag, upon returning to his camp they both lock up and head to town presumably. Now,I can go from nice to bastard fairly quickly these days ,so I pull in the line and head straight to the other side and head up the bank with my dunny shovel. It was easy to get his rubbish bag out,I then went to his site and plonked the bag on his outdoor table. As a parting gesture I wrote in texta on his plastic table .....YOU ARE BEING WATCHED! When I got home wifey said did I have a good arvo ? I said " Got no fish again, but had a bloody good time !" Cheers .

Westy. Some people I know are like slinkies. They look really funny when you push them downstairs !
Few years ago behind a car in a Macca's drive thru. Guy ahead stuffed an empty cigarette packet into a bush outside his window. I walked up and got the packet and threw it into his car and said- dispose of this properly.
He collected his meal but didn't know I had not ordered and drove behind him immediately knowing he'll likely throw it out his window at first opportunity. Yep, only 100 metres further along he did. Got his rego number and reported it to EPA via their website in Victoria. EPA rang me for confirmation of events and informed me they are sending out two littering fines ($200 each then) to the registered owner.
Similar thing in Bendigo on total fire ban day at traffic lights. Two guys in a car both smoking took off, driver threw lit cigarette butt out of car, followed by passenger about 5 seconds later. I reported it to EPA via website. They rang me to confirm time difference of the turfing of the butts...eg 5 seconds. Then informed me two fines would be sent to registered owner.
They have that in some other states. Just have to get rego, time and date of offense, location etc and register online. Been doing that for 15 years now. Can report smoky vehicles too.

On our travels the amount of rubbish at way side stops is mind boggling and in a few yards of provided bins.
One we stopped at for lunch just outside of Wagga, very pleasant pull in plenty of bins, the rubbish from babies nappies and toilet paper through to fast food wrappings was horrendous. The bins were obviously regularly serviced as when I put our rubbish in one it was only half full and before we left, the council truck pulled in and emptied them.
People are such lazy pigs. Can't walk a few yards to a bin.
