Eight years of pain.

I have posted about this before. However, I recently caught up with my neighbor, Colleen, who helped me back in 2011. She helped me fill in the gaps. I had just moved my m/bike onto it's back leg. Within a second, the pain in my lower back almost brought me to tears. I visited three local doctors. They either had no idea, or didn't care. One of them gave me a 'script for four different "PK's" (pain killers)

I ended up at the local ER. The doctor there was just as useless. I tried to explain about the extreme pain in my back. His reply was, "It'll pass". Then he gave me a 'script for PK's. Shortly after I ended up on the floor of the ER. The pain was almost crippling. So they admitted me. The rest of the day, and one night. I got a meal, and a lot of PK's. In the morning I was discharged. Then someone arranged for me to have a "cautizone" (?) injection. The pain stopped. Thinking that the injection has fixed things forever, I took off interstate to do more volunteer work.

There was bush fires damages to clean up in Victoria. Fencing to be done in Far North Qld. Back to Vic; re. more bush fires. Qld; and floods. NSW and floods. WA, and bush fires.

During this time, I honestly lost track of how many doctors, physios and acupuncture "specialist" I visited. All I ended up with was a couple of dozen 'scripts for "PK's. Esperance. WA. The doctor there sent me to Perth for an MRI. He told me that there was probable damage to my CIATIC nerve. It was. Then I have to arrive at a hospital for a operation !!??

First time I had ever been to hospital for anything so important. The initial damage was done in 2011. The operation was to be performed in May of 2017 !!?? I know there are hundreds of people worse off that me, but, five years of doctors, etc. But it doesn't end there.

To be continued.
