Does anyone have a good method of preventing an open roof hatch from jumping up and down when the wind gets up, usually at about 2 a.m.? I thought about using a spring but couldn't work out a way of fastening one so that it worked when open a little bit or a lot. Bungy cord? Usually end up leaving the hatch closed if it's blowy, but would prefer to have a bit of fresh air.
I have a system using Velcro tape, that holds the to roof vents in the open position with no movement, and prevents them from being blown open. You will need a sewing machine to make them though. This is with a Jayco van.
