Which specific model? The ones I have dismantled have been fused internally. Not hard to look, if the charger is dead and outside warranty period. Just make sure the charger is not plugged into 230 V if you are going to fiddle with it.

I don't know if my charger has a fuse in it. But have been happy with the Victron 10 amp charger & it sents to your phone via Bluetooth what it's doing. Also can set it to a low setting of 3 amps if required.

What's its history of use? If its 10 years old and suddenly stopped working, then that is a reasonable life, disappointing but reasonable.

terrola, I assume there was a leaflet supplied with it. If so, is there a fault finding page?

If it's this one (automotivesuperstore.com.au/ctek-mxs-10) - they sound to be bullet proof. Do you use the temp sensor? If so try shifting it to another location.
And yes, they are EXPENSIVE! I'll stick to my <$100 Repco charger.

Suggested last port of call - ask a dealer.

Hi terrola,
Is it still not charging?

I use a CETEK DC-DC charger on my aux battery & due to the location of the battery, I maladjusted the location of the sensor to get some charge into the battery. If I put it on the +ve terminal where it's supposed to be, I would not get any charge. Batteries are designed to work best at 25 degrees, not 70-90! Risky? Yes, but I have to drive the car in all weathers & here up north, it's warm most of the time.

Just to offer another perspective, I have two 15 amp cTek chargers, both have been operating reliably for years, very happy with them.smile
