But how can this be so!?

Honda generators are perfect are they not? Or at least if one pays regard to internet forums they are.

At least this time Honda had the decency to do a recall (worried they'd be sued if one caught fire I suspect) which is more than they did for the issue with the spark plug cap - see my posts six months back.

Currently my, young, Honda EU20i generator has an issue with starting and serious kickback which I shall try to have attended to, under warranty, when I'm back in the Melbourne area.

In any event: do not believe all you read from people on the internet who probably use their generators for 25 hours per years - Honda generators are far from perfect. Confirmation bias at its best.
