Intake venting for Finch bunk air conditioner .

Ive just been advised by a fellow caravanner that our Finch air conditioner should have an adequate air supply coming in through the intake vent For the unit to work effectively. Ours is installed under the bed with a lot of other electricals, battery etc . There is no source of ventilation. There was no manual supplied with the van which we bought new, so I called Finch for advice who just advised me to  go back to the place where we bought the van / (  an Aframe AVan)

Does  anyone else have this unit and if so how does it draw air in ?

We have sold our Cruiseliner now, but from recollection, there was a vent through the floor. We were never very happy with the a/c in our Avan, it was noisy and took ages to change the temperature in the van. In winter we used a small fan heater with a thermostat and it worked well.

Many moons back now I had a Aframe Avan and was thinking of the same aircon so started looking into it and had decided to put a vent on the outside wall under the cupboard at front I was going to install aircon.

I didn't get around to it all in the finish because I changed my plans and sold the Avan and got a full CV and went Full Time on the road with what is in my signature below.

Thankyou . I managed to get the manual for the unit online and it does need an intake vent from inside the cabin so the install was not correct . Have to follow it up
