Western Australia Wooramel Roadhouse

Thursday 5 September 2019

This is not exactly recommending the caravan park, as I have never stayed there, (I did not know where to place this post)

This is recommending the service at the Wooramel Roadhouse
Approximately 120 kilometres south of Carnarvon, on the main highway to Geraldton

I had read on WikiCamps that they made good pasties, so decided to try them out while passing

Arrived about 11.30 am and was informed that the pasties had gone, but that a new batch would take 30 minuter, or thereabouts

Decided to wait and watched their TV

It was certainly worth the wait

The pasties are home made and piping hot, the bowl of chips were also piping hot, (with no grease)

Cost of two pasties, a bowl of chips, one Capachino, and one normal coffee, was just over $25

A well timed post .

I left Melbourne in 1982 for a job in Port Hedland, WA.

For the last 37 years (hopefully thats right) have been driving up and down the coast of WA.

However, I have never stop at Wooramel; until this trip. August. Back home to Mandurah tomorrow; had 5 weeks in Broome.

We stayed at the W C/p overnight, purchased fuel and used the Roadhouse.

Well done Wooramel; I will definitely stop again.

Regards.

Hetho.
