Hi Pablo. I purchased a new Knaus, which is not manufactured by Avan but sold through their dealer network. My motorhome is very well engineered and performs beautifully. The only issues Ive ever had are getting after sales service. The dealers promise to fix everything but the Avan factory in Pakenham doesnt support them very well in my opinion. Id suggest you do some research. Just as youve chosen this forum to seek information I would look at the comments on each dealer and Avan itself. I know of people who put a negative comment on the Avan Facebook page and it is removed very quickly. Id say they are keen to minimise criticism. It is certainly a lot of money to buy a new motorhome and you really expect and deserve the warranty to be honoured. I think they have a high turnover of staff in the factory which does not bode well for ensuring a quality product comes out the end. Im not saying they are going to be any worse than other motorhomes as Ive not dealt with Jayco or Avida. Id just do my homework and get some assurances in writing before you hand over $100k+.
I will add that nothing beats travelling our beautiful country in an RV. Travel safe. Peta.

Not a motorhome but I had a Avan Camper Trailer for three years, purchased new from their factory in Pakenham VIC. I very quickly, 3 days later found out that after sales service at the time was no existent. I rang a few times to be brushed off. I even went there at one stage only to be told they sell them not fix them. I Gave up in the end and sorted the problem myself and never asked for their non existent after sales service again. I did have good times with my camper though. I now travel with the aluminium tent listed below in my signature.

The non existent after sales service at the time was the reason I didn't go with a Avan full van.

I don't know anything about the Avan, however I looked it up online and it looks great, very stylish, now that I recognize it, I have also seen a few on the road.

We also have a C-Class (Jayco Conquest 25.3, L-shape lounge, 2018 model), on a Fiat Ducato Base and we are very happy with the size and layout, (we previously had a B class Avida) also the Fiat is beautiful to drive, the Avan looks similar.

In my unqualified opinion, all the new Motorhomes are manufactured very similar and are pretty good quality for what you pay, and yes there will be some issues such as water leaks, we had squeaky furniture, a few trims coming off, however all were fixed under warranty, so just make sure that your Dealer has the capability to do the fixes.

The extras we ordered and you might want to consider are:

1. Towbar (1500kg or heavier if permitted), it's a must, as you may want to tow a small vehicle, or boat etc, and its always good for re-sale value, also some Motorhomes need the chassis rails extended to fit the towbar and this is best done during manufacture of the Motorhome, if you don't get the towbar you might want to check and get the chassis rails extended anyway, as it's very expensive to do it later.
2. Diesel heater for un-powered sites or free camping.
3. Solar panels, we have 2 x 1600.
4. Bull Bar.
5. Side steps, I wasn't sure if they would be any good, but when getting out of the cab after a long trip they are great.
6. Fold down table is also nice to just drop down and put your cup of coffee on it.
7. Electric awning (I would class this is a must, as it's so convenient).
8. Washing machine.

We have also added quite a few bits and pieces to make everything more pleasant, such as:
a. Stapling non slip matting in most of the bottoms of the cupboards.
b. Extra towel racks.
