RV Insurance query.

Hi there!

Happy NY.  We are first time uses of this forum and are hoping someone out there in Nomad land can assist.

We are after full comprehensive insurance for  our Toyota Coaster (imported from Japan). At this stage we have nearly completed the full fit out.

We are looking to register the vehicle end Feb.

We are hoping someone can give us and idea of cost of full comprehensive insurance premium of our vehicle valued at approximately  $90,000.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Dan & Glee Hughes

Welcome Lola, There are several companies that specialise in Automotive insurance - Few on here could advise a premium for your vehicle , you need to apply for a quote from insurers directly - your circumstances such as age , address, driving record, type of use, etc are factors that will effect your premiums.
The specialist insurers for RV vehicles are CIL, Ken Tame, 4X4 .com,

Thanks Possum. Appreciate the input. Have had a quote from Ken Tame but thought it rather expensive at 25.00 a week.

Will try the others.

Thanks again.

Lola, I forgot to mention Shannon's as another specialist insurer.

Welcome to the forum Lola

I agree with Possum3, that CIL, and Ken Tame are reputable insurers, for travellers

Also, RAC in each State, if your vehicle fits within their height/weight/length restrictions, is also another reputable insurer

I can only repeat what Possum3 has already said, to contact every insurer for their price/PDS (Product Disclosure Statement)
Then pick the one, which best suits your situation

If you are over 55 years old, you could try APIA. We have found them very good and particularly so we we needed to claim on our policy. Read the policy inclusions etc as we found that these varied widely and cheap is not always the best.
