Coles Chipolata snags

These are a mini snag, prepacked, beef and pork. Last lot were $5 for 15. Very nice for a change from big ones.

Sounds nice and price seems OK too Craig.

I usually make my own hamburger patties but was in Woollies the other day and they have their own little Butcher shop and had pre-made Lamb and Pork (mixed together) patties. I made a couple of home made hamburgers with salad etc in rolls. Niiiiice and something different.

Sure was Craig. I like that store and the meat in the little butcher shop is much nicer than the pre-packed on the shelves.

I also found a very good butcher shop down a side street in Wang as well.

Burgers. A bit more expensive than some - but we recently discovered, at Woolies, (we bought them 'on special' $6 for 4 ) the Jamie Oliver Mexican burgers. Not hot or overly spicy, but very nice . We ate them with roasted capsicum & eggplant plus some pesto from a jar. We rarely buy processed meat, but this was a really tasty exception. MrsTea had hers in standard bread rolls toasted in the frypan on just one side & I had mine with Woolies gluten free English muffins toasted the same way (toasted side on the inside). The one pack of burgers (normally $9) did us for two lunches. Since then we have bought them again (at the $9 price). Good to find something easy to make & so tasty whilst travelling. Admittedly we were house sitting & had access to an oven for the vege roasting, but will use our camp oven when in the Tvan - roast enough for the 4 burgers plus more. Keep in the fridge & what isn't used for the burgers makes a nice addition to a cold salad. When the burgers are on special it is usually when they only have a short use by date left on them, but they can be frozen & kept a lot longer.
