Can anyone tell me What Brand & Model this Pop up van is please. Also the bars on the side lift/push up to roof has a cable & spring in them. What are these arms called and how do you replace the cable in them? Cheers Darren
Hi all; Our very first caravan was a very similar model to your van. It had no wires as to lift up the roof and it required both my wife on one side and me on the other to lift the roof up ( one end at a time ) using our bruit strength. Working together it was easy and the arms also had a locking pin that was placed in the hinge in the middle to "lock' the arms up.The trick is to have a second person to help you and once you have raised and lowered the roof a few times it will get easy.
The very early Jayco caravans had this type of set up and off hand i think they were called " sunbird' . Other members may be able to shed more light on the matter.

I had one of these in 1975. It is a Sunwagon. From memory it was made by Windsor . However I may be corrected. We found it extremely spacious, towed well but did not stand up to a lot of wet weather. Pillows and mattresses all soaked up water for resting on walls and seams. Traded in for a 16 ft Millard full van.
