Fuel pump on a Snugger diesel heater.

I have the pump disconnected, and am bench testing it, it pulses only once with power connected. Should it pulse, and keep pulsing until pressure is reached, or are the pulses sent from the heater control module, pressure controlled by the module?

Ian,

I am no egg spurt on diesel heaters however I would egg specked that the pump is controlled by the heater module as it knows what setting you have it on. ie: low or high. This would determine how frequently the pump operates.

My opinion. I may be wrong. Hope you are having a happy Easter.

Robert.

Thanks Thomas01, I got the same answers from Wiki camps. So the pump must be OK. So fan in limp mode, but tests OK, sensors measure the correct ohms. Can't get to the igniter or screen. Fuel pump does not go, no error codes now. New heater?

If it is only the pump you can pick up a new one on ebay for $25 or there abouts.

Ian, years ago had problems with the Glow plug and the pump would not go on our Snugger Heater, suggest you test the glow plug.

B4 buying a new unit would talk to Roger at Diesel Heat Australia, he has helped me in the past.

Have been in touch with Roger @ DHA, who says its most likely the wall mounted controller, have one on order. Will advise the results when it is fitted. Thanks.

Hi Ian

Thanks for that update, do you have a pic to the controller

(I do not yet have a diesel heater)

Also, did you spot anything out of the ordinary, when you removed the controller

Hi Ian, thanks for the pics

I am also not a techie, and was not sure what you meant by the controller (I do not have a diesel heater yet)

I can now see the light, and can see that it is (some sort of), on/off and temperature setting switch, in other words, it is a controller
