Inspection help

Hi Im wondering if I can tap in to the wealth of experience on this forum. I have never purchased a motorhome and have come across one I like the look of. Ive investigated getting a vehicle inspection using the RAA( Im in Adelaide) but they have made it clear they only do a mechanical inspection. Im wondering how I can get the camper part of the vehicle inspected. Sadly, I dont know anyone who has this knowledge and I certainly dont know enough to gauge the quality of the potential purchase. Any ideas? Thanks

LoisKay,

Ensure too that it has both roadworthy & gas certificates.

While automobile club inspections are worth while, just be aware that they don't always pick up everything. When I bought my GQ Patrol, they found an oil leak out of the top of the gearbox. The car yard had it repaired but neither discovered what caused the seal to let go - I did, just having a look underneath the car a couple of weeks later. It was a broken & blocked (with red hardened mud) breather.

If you want another alternative I can highly recommend Gawler Caravan Repairs. Ask for Michael.
