Who is the oldest member on the Forum.

A forum member as asked if I am the oldest member on the forum.

So let's throw it out there is see what we catch.

I John ( AKA Jay) was born on the 16th day of January, 1939.

So I am 81 years and 4 plus months.

But I reckon that I would the Baby of the (O.B.E.)  Over Bloody Eighty.

Then of course there is the (O.B.N.)

Over Bloody Ninety.

My Golf Club presented me with my O.B.E.

Proud to be a young Aussie.

Oh!!!  Yes... Dee will be 78 later in the year. Born in 1942.

Also Married in 1962.

She is the love of my life.

Hang on.... I was only looking for the oldest Forum member.

Happy Days

Jay&Dee

I am 72, well on my way heading 73. The month just gone was going to celebrate with my son and family home from overseas our 50th Wedding anniversary, so we did it in lock down, just the 2 of us. The way we preferred to do it without the fuss.

So I am along way off.

I was taught the same. But I'm sure you've found, as I have, that they're getting harder and harder to find

Oh Dear! What did the 75 do to deserve getting hit, it certainly means you are still pretty active and agile!

Seriously - Congratulations on your 75th!.

Cheers - Ian

My Father's birthday was 25th April too, though right back in 1910. Unfortunately he passed away in 1955.

I am a young 78 .. 79 next Monday 11 may ...  I was born on mothers day 1941.  What a great present!

For some reason we always celebrated my birthday on the 12th.  That was corrected when I needed my birth certificate for by first job at the age of 14.

Thanks Ian, yes I am one of the fortunate ones so far, quite active both physically and mentally, how long that will last I don't know, unfortunately time is running out!

Hey Cupie, I hope you have a great birthday on Monday!

Cheers

Richard

Richard .. Thanks for the kind wishes.  I have a great bottle of red that my DIL gave me at XMAS that I put aside.  We will get in a restaurant meal (delivered) and use the best crockery ... perhaps some candles too.  LOL

edit ... Now that the restrictions have been eased a bit in Qld, we might even go for a drive & picnic .. what a treat!

I'm 78 so not as ancient as quite a few on here.

The worst thing I've noticed about being old these days is that I used to like older women but now

there aren't many.

( only kidding )
