I won't tell you what to do but I would advise you to listen to your Doctors, perhaps go back to your GP and tell him exactly what concerns you. What you should not do is ask forum members what to do. I do know if your taking Methotrexate that you should be having regular blood tests and maybe a supplement.

I helped cure excema on a Toddler.It worked..1-2 Big Leaves of ALOE VERA gel/ juices.Spread thickly on areas.Fan it to dry.The secret to A.V working properly is to dry it under a FAN.Everyday for 2 weeks- lather gel on..The toddler was cured in 2 weeks as they came back to show me.No need buy commercial lotions/ potions- Only the pure leaf gel..Also can of coconut cream- Trident $2.. Fridge it & lather on thickly 2-6 X a day..As much as you want.Both have -" itching soothing,quality s,Also"" .( not for excema) is also a good product for chafing.Works immediatelyfrom supermarkets $4-7CURARASH

wash in artesian water from around the Quilpie area. Fixed mine. Took about 6 weeks.

I think it will be a while before WA lifts its travel restrictions, so getting too QLD will be next year for us.

I'll keep your suggestion in mind and take the plunge when we get to Quilpie.

Yes Hetho, Mine was pretty bad. Tried a lot of things. Had it for about 3yrs and it wasn't until I was staying in Quilpie and washed my hands all the time with it that I got any relief. Very itchy peeling hands. It just went away and never returned. Of course it could have been due to other factors, I don't know what caused it.

I agree with Kebbin. Methotrexate is indeed a wonderful drug but very potent and Doctors instructions should be followed exactly. It did wonders for my mother's arthritis.

Hi hetho, it must be very painful for you. even though i do not use it for your condition, i have used it for 5 years for rheumatoid arthritis. It made the difference between going into a nursing home prematurely and living a normal life. For me, it has created not problems just a great relief To be living normal. Good luck. I was prescribed methotrexate for rh arthritis and had to have monthly blood tests to ensure it didn't effect my liver function but after 4 mths had to come off it as liver function was deteriorating despite me feeling OK - I think dose was 15mg weekly. 'Utralan D' (not Utralan) was the only ointment that gave my daughter relief from eczema

Methotrexate was one of the first drugs I was put on for Rheumatoid Arthritis, I had no severe side effects, but it also had no beneficial effects for me either so I was switched to another drug after a couple of months on it. Hopefully you have success on it, the drugs Im on now have way scarier potential side effects, but if its a difference between zero quality and life and the possibility of a reduced longevity, I made the choice to go for a better quality of life for however long Ive got! But this was only after extensive researching, and trying absolutely every variation of natural approaches and dietary adjustments and pretty much every random suggestion anyone made to me (none of which gave me any relief at all) As a Ive said before, what might have worked wonders on one person can have zero effect or detrimental affects on another. Your doctor is aware of this and, as much as Ive always been wary of them, I have now had to accept that they do care and genuinely want whats best for me. Im lucky I have a very kind and patient rheumatologist who has seen me go from the worst case hed ever seen and being told Id probably never have full mobility again, to being able to walk again, but he dealt with many of my angry outburst during the frustrating trial and error part of that very long process too!
