If relatives etc overseas have not received postage. It looks like there is a mountain of mail sitting in warehouses in Australia until services resume. We sent 4 letters around a few months ago to various relatives in Europe & not 1 has arrived.
'Please note: We've suspended our "Economy Air" international delivery service for parcels and Economy letters containing merchandise to all countries, territories and regions effective 3 April and until further notice.'

Hi all; Living in Tasmania for the last 3 years and i find that Aust Post is by far the slowest in not only international delays , but general mail as well. It can take 7 ~ 10 days just to get a letter / parcel delivered to Sydney and the return just as long. The main land is just as bad, send a parcel to the next suburb and it can take a week just to get there !!
I have order electronic parts from a well known distributor in Sydney and has been sent by courier and have that order the next day, in my hand. Even if you sent mail by express mail ( over night ) it still can take a week or more. The local post office has said that Aus Post no longer do express mail.
Typical example, My wife made a quilt for her great granddaughters birthday. This alone took over 12 months to make, sent the quilt off to to Ballarat and the granddaughter birthday had long gone. It took a round 3.5 weeks to get there. The quilt ( parcel ) had a tracking number printed. Our post office is just around the corner and pick up /deliveries are around 10.00 AM so the parcel was mailed well before then. To top it off we only live 1/2 Hr from Launceston GPO.
Complain and that gets you nowhere, same with Telstra.

We just happen to speak by chance to one of the people who empty the post boxes in the suburbs. Saturday is the only day they are not emptied according to the sticker. He said they are only being emptied on Monday & Friday in our area.

Not only overseas. I ordered something from Melbourne 1/6 and it still hasn't even left Melbourne yet. I'm only in Nth East VIC. I should have just gone down and got it myself.

This is what I am worried about, their is a critical component, that I need for my camper, the actual hitch for my draw bar designed especially for trailers and has to legally be this type designed for safety, if I use the quick release rear axle of the bike wheel. I am hoping to buy it, even if I change my mind and go with a seat tube hitch instead. But the hold up from China is said to be huge and including Australia Posts handling as well. I have also been told that couriers coming out of China are also massively behind. My wife has a Platinum Account thru Wish, and it is being sent via Airmail, we will see how long this will take. Sometimes it is okay to talk to yourself aloud, she overheard me, found the hitch, came in to show me, I said yes that's it, and she I just ordered it. .

Surely you can get it fabricated locally, or partly & do the rest yourself. Or butcher some other parts.
I had to beef up my roof rack rails. Corrugated roads were ripping them apart. It took a long time to think of something. In the end it was a simple solution but a lot of elbow grease.

No, I actually, needed the spring connect, as I could not make the spring or find one that would work, so bought the whole hitch for 15 bucks. If I donj't go with this, will keep it for another job or trailer. The hitch, I know I can make is the seat tube one, and it maybe better as it almost stops jack knifing at speed. If I use the axle hitch, will have to build override disc brakes, which will be a nightmare to design and construct. Building it without brakes though would be idiotic on my part, even though the company whom make them in Europe, don't add brakes themselves.
