I have an ADCO..........it's very good and I'm very happy with it for ease of fitting including attachments and general quality. Had it for two years and still in very good condition
Camec covers would be the most often used they have a two year guarantee.
I am a firm believer that a stand alone carport is a better long term option with Cafe' Blind roll up sides fitted - you can have a light panel in top to keep solar charging if you don't have power. PM sent.
Welcome Osca, I trust you stay with this forum longer than just gaining info on van covers. There is a wealth of info stashed away in the memory banks that can be released by using the Search - Advanced Search tab.
Re the covers - a friend finds the Aldi ones good & they last two years or more. I bought one that was dearer on eBay - sadly it's not as good!

Without going to the very expensive hail proof covers, Adco is 'up there' amongst normal covers, however, like most they will still tear quite easily if caught on a sharp edge.
Perhaps of interest, a friends 22 foot Aldi cover does not stretch to cover his 21 foot 8 inch outside length van.
I strongly support the Car Port option. Should have done that 20 years ago.
I use the best silver tarp that I can buy. They cost about $110 for one to fully cover the 21'6" van & last for about 5 years.
Their effectiveness is increased by putting 3 strings of polystyrene (broccoli) boxes on top of the roof under the cover. This gives an air gap for temperature control & improves hail protection.
Longivity & mechanical protection is increased by putting your annex floor (shade cloth) over the tarp.
All tiedowns are via flexible shock cords. (I use rubber bands made from old inner tubes).
With my set up I can leave the windows & door open to allow air flow & only have to close up when violent storms are predicted.
But ... best option is a carport & concrete floor. forget the expensive & short lived but pretty commercial caravan covers.
Hi everyone, whats the best caravan cover brands, Im looking for quality, thanks in advance.
Hi Octg.
My personal thoughts on this matter of covering it up, years ago I was given a expensive bbq with a cover, so after each use I would wripe the bbq down and cover it up which was a good practice but when I wanted to cook a couple of snags, it was to much trouble to get the bbq out, so now it not covered up, ready to go all the time. I think I will cook bacon and eggs for breakfast. Still looks good 12 years on.
We do not cover our beautiful caravan, I would like to put a carport up but it is out of the question for a lot of technical reasons and our caravan is 9 years plus and still looks good. The caravan is ready to hit the road a moment notice.
Our friends have built a carport for their caravan to protect it from the weather and to help it retain it reseale value, interestingly he finds he needs to pull it out of the carport to wash it before goes away as dust settles on it. He second statement is on short notice, I need to get the caravan out and that is to much trouble. Just the other day he call in on the way home from having some maintance done his caravan did not look any better then mine and ours has never been in a shed. I even thought mine looked better.
The best thing I did do was put down a concrete slab to park the caravan on and a 15amp power point which added to the resale value of our home.
Hi I also use no cover as when I did I got scratches and marks from the wind and dust. I use Nu Polish every few months and this protects and keeps it looking great. Dust doesn't stick and washes off when it rains. Cheers Stewart.
I will not debate the value of a cover or not, you asked about the best brand, looking for quality.
I can only speak from experience, being a Perth resident, with a van exposed to constant WA sun.
No covers last much longer than two years here, even the ADCO. Don't even bother trying to claim warranty, it is a fruitless exercise. I chose the ADCO (after trying several others) for the white roof, to try and reduce the internal temp on the stored van, successful to some extent on that score, but the cover did not last any longer and than cheaper alternatives in our environment. At the price I would not purchase again.
I have a had couple of "Prestige" covers, which were probably best in terms of features (fixing points, access panels, etc) and a CAMEC, I would rate the Prestige better than CAMEC, but the CAMEC was cheaper at the time.
All really only last about two years here.
Currently I am using a cheapy from EBAY that has lasted as long as the Prestige, but has inferior access panels and less fastening points, it also lacks the PVC panels at the bottom, and is a little short in a perfect world, but it cost half the price -$95.00 for a 22-24 foot cover delivered to my door.
As my experience has shown that 2x WA summers kill a cover (UV deterioration) I just go for EBAY cheapies now, but if you want to pay more for a better ??? cover, I guess Prestige.
