Car and Van setup

Hi folks

does anyone based in Perth have any recommendations about who can advise me how to get my towing setup right ? I have a Land Cruiser 200 series 2018 model towing a Jayco Starcraft Outback. The van drops down at the tow point, this could be due to the hitch towbar tongue, a genuine toyota part, which has a 90 degree bend downwards from the hitch.  Meaning the van has to drop to connect to the towball. The towball weight is 280 kg laden.  I would rather avoid weight distribution kits and would like some advice from a retailer who can give me some options preferably someone who you guys trust and have had a good experience with

On another note we have just come back from a 3 week trip up North stayed at Horrocks beach, Kalbarri Red Bluff, great park there, Carnarvon, Coral Bay Peoples Park, ocean front spot,  beautiful. Monkey Mia for a few days. It was great to get out again

Thanks in advance for your help

Regards

Go to; The Caravan Council of Australia website www.caravancouncil.com.au/ where you can download all the technical advice and checklists for free. They particularly have heaps of info on setting up vans safely.

The ttowing hitch which faces down , can be turned 180° that then allows you to get car and van level

Flipping the tow hitch on an LC200 reduces the maximum download rating.Forgotten by how much, but I seem to recall that maximum download becomes 300kg? Cheers

I think the Ranger is the same. Much better to buy a proper rated drop hitch. Not that expensive and better to be safe.
