WAECO CF35 fridge running on 12v, dead on 240v

Hi, nice to meet you all.

I'm currently having issues with my Waeco CF35. It's currently running on 12v but when plugged into my car however it won't run when plugged into 240v. I have opened up the cooler and have identified 2 circuit boards and have attached them. Which one of these boards do I need to replace to get it working?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated :)

p.s. all fuses are ok and working.

Cheers,

Hi ChingH,
Welcome to the forum.
A tool that is very much overlooked particularly amongst Newbies is the "Search" tab - go there & do an Advanced Search & you'll get the more recent issues. From there I found this - on the 2nd of March this year, look up Harra94's post in this Techie tab. Similar problems.

I don't have a Waeco but I would have thought there would be fuses for both 12v & 240vac - I assume these have been checked. There are many others in the forum who should be able to assist. It just kicked my memory banks when you showed the board pics.

Sorry, it was Harrer94's problem in March.
Just be wary, there is a saying amongst people with technical skills (KISS). There are many times when we go over the fence pulling something to pieces, only to find it was something simple!

My apologies if you've done the easy checks already.

WAECO BOARD.jpgThis board will be faulty. Not cheap, its cheaper to buy a 240v to 12V power supply & run it. Just a suggestion.

Hi

Hi DeBe,
I have bought the transformer on eBay 12V30A for $25.99, now my WAECO CF35 runs very well.
Thanks for your good advice
