South Australians will be band from returning to SA

Things are getting worse than trying to get across Europe in WW2. I had relatives saying how difficult it was to get home.

'Currently, South Australians are allowed to return home but must quarantine for two weeks and undergo two mandatory coronavirus tests.'

'South Australia is again strengthening its border controls with Victoria, banning anyone, including South Australians, from entering the state from midnight on Tuesday.'

It is obviously put in place to discourage travel.

The successful states (so far) with managing the virus are the states that have limited movement from other states along with their own internal controls being enforced.
The states that have had disregard for commonsense controls are now in serious trouble.
Anyone out of state has until Tuesday to get home, be it with isolation. Apparently there is some cases for exemption.
I thought that was fairly simple and not really like Europe in WW2

I think SA is doing the right thing

Regards

Angie

You can not blame South Australia, (or any other states/territory), for their hard border closure

I just hope that Victoria, manages to come out of this OK, and that it does not blow over to NSW

Opinion polls up here in Gods country are strongly perhaps 92%. I'm told, in favour of closing the Qld borders once again.

Just how valid the poll is though is questionable but much in line with what my friends say.

From a Courier Mail poll ..

QUEENSLANDERS have overwhelmingly backed closing the borders, according to a Courier-Mail Facebook poll. About 92 per cent of the more than 14,000 people who had their say in the poll supported the Sunshine State closing its borders once again. Comment: We need a tougher stance on border regulation dodgers

As an ex Qld'er living in SA for the last 40 years:

We recently visited a Town in Far western NSW on returning to SA, Had to have a Covid Test within 24 hours and also on day 12 of a 14 day isolation, with 2 police front door checks to ensure we are home during this period.

My Qld understanding;
Visit a NSW Covid Hotspot 14 days self isolation, otherwise life as normal

Which state is providing the better protection for its citizens, would like Qld to do similar for my Qld family members .

Yep, I reckon that the SA approach is better.

IMHO it is only a matter of time before we too have a significant outbreak like NSW & perhaps like Vic.

We have been in Qld for a little over three years since retiring just travelling around ad taking out time.

We are so glad we are not back in NSW (Windsor) during this terrible time.

I do note that every Qlder we speak to wants the borders totally shut.

I know a lot of you dont participate on Facebook but this appeared only minutes ago. I have not found the source of the report yet but it could come from a newspaper in the Airlie area.
