Could it be that health professionals have access to it but you do not. That would not suprise me.

From their site; When you log in to your new My Health Record for the first time, there may be little or no information in it.

Your previous medical history such as older test results and medical reports will not be in your new record.

There may be around two years worth of Medicare/PBS claims history from your doctors visits and medicines a pharmacist has dispensed for you.

If you want details of your medical history to be added to your My Health Record, ask your GP to add a summary next time you see them.

I had the same issue and asked at my clinic. I was told the doctor just hadn't done it yet. Umpteen months later it still hasn't been done.
I'm getting the impression that its a time consuming job and Docs tend to put it off.

I have never been into mine before - so I thought I would have a look - my local GP was entering until 2016. There is absolutely no records whatsoever for over 15 Hospital Procedures by Hospitals in NT, Qld or NSW, No records at all from Five Specialists, their reports, scans, Xrays, all non-existent - Buggar me - I have been travelling all over the Country (and overseas) confident in the knowledge that The Govt System put there to help in an emergency and guarantee my health outcomes is Sweet Fanny Adams. Like Gundog I'm pissed off.

Oh dear! Anuva big con by progressive's, Boy's Own Annual, Cult of Progress Priests etc. Oops - sorry I do get carried away.

I also would love such a system to work, as we travel far and wide.

Therefore I engaged with the original E Health after discussing with a GP in the group I go to. It was all very successful, and next visit to that group and a different GP he told that they wished I had not done so. Eh??????

Turns out that in my limited explanation, the Public Service system had ONE software which did not have the ability to work with the what must be dozens of software data base systems used across our land. The medical centres would then have to employ data entry staff to do the work and they did not try to do so.

THEN .....
to use the MyGov web site in order to access the records I suddenly had to have a 3rd level of security (User Name, Password AND now a code sent to Mob ph.) which did work, but suddenly did not.

I was accused of having Old Technology, Old Software etc and told Telstra was at fault and so on. Turns out that the My Gov website was hacked by a "Nere Do Well" from eastern Europe in Nov 2018. I have a copy of the ABC News Report of this and offered to send it to My Gov but for some reason they suddenly went quiet.

There after I have asked for my private use Ph and Email to be removed from ALL Gov web contacts etc and their mail to me must be by post in hard copy. I have received just 3 letters since then instead of the myriads of emails, texts etc.

Now we did not object to My Health as we have no fears of the guff put out, BUT the clerical staff at our local health Centre decided on our behalf to say we had opted out - GRRR! How dare they interfere in our wishes.

So we now have a complaint into the Health and Community Services Complaints Commission about their interference into our personal matters AND their interference between Doctor and Patient arrangements in General.
We have fantastic GP's and the clerks are trying to rule over our relationship with such. Grr!

Add me to the list of no details.

I joined it within the first week as I thought it a great idea and the only things in there is what I added, like my meds and other details. Nothing else in there. NOTHING.

I have asked GP's, Specialists and Hospitals to add details but nup, NOTHING.

I actually agree, that the medical/health people having access to my health records, is a good thing from me
As I may require medical attention, away from my local Doctor, and be unable to communicate with anyone

I was under the impression that a persons health record, would automatically be placed on the registrar, unless that person opted out within a certain time frame
I had therefore assumed that I am on the Government Health Registrar, or whatever it is called

After reading all the above posts, I googled, (on Google Australia browser), my health record Australia, just to see what is in my health record

Received a reply from the ministers office.

Thank you for your correspondence of 11 August 2020 to the Minister for Health,

the Hon Greg Hunt MP, regarding the quality of information being uploaded to your

My Health Record (MHR). The Minister has asked me to reply.

While most general practices, hospitals, and pharmacies are now using MHR, as youve

experienced, participation and uploading of information is not mandatory. The system has

been established to support and aid clinical decision making but not to replace existing

healthcare provider information systems. That said, there are ways you can encourage your

healthcare provider to participate.

In the first instance, I would encourage you to talk to your doctor about uploading a Shared

Health Summary to your MHR. This summary can capture important past and current health

information such as results from previous tests or scans, which can be shared with your

other treating healthcare providers, such as in the event of an emergency.

If your healthcare provider is unsure how to use the MHR system, they can access training

materials, education and support through the Australian Digital Health Agency (Agency). The

Agency is working with the healthcare sector to increase participation. This includes working

with NSW Health, public and private hospitals, and private healthcare providers across NSW.

Finally, you may be interested that the Government has appointed Professor John McMillan

to undertake an independent review of the My Health Records Act 2012 (Act). Professor

McMillans terms of reference include advising the Government on how the Act might

improve how healthcare providers and consumers use of the MHR system.

Professor McMillans report is due to be provided to the Minister by 1 December 2020.

Have noticed that tests requested from a Dr often have anote at the top "Do not place results on EHealth.

Either way nothing has been posted on mine for over two years. Total waste of time.
