Do we all blame China for the loss of the manufacturing in Australia ? Look back 45 years ,not many of us were than interested in politics , Australia signed the
( Lima Declaration ) with the UN , check it out , I hope it will not make you sick .
Gee Hans,
what a way to spoil a great afternoon. I mainly still blame greedy middlemen and manufacturers for fleeing our shores. We dont need $1 tee shirts , or $1.50 watering cans from the B G S. either

When you have no OH&S, pensions for the masses, dental, negative birth rate. Give it 2 decades & China will have its third revolution to add to the 100 million killed in the first two. In the long run it will self implode.

We, the consumer, are to blame. We wanted cheaper. Australian manufacturing couldn't make items cheap enough here so they went else where.
If you blame greed then look in the mirror.
Well, I liked and still bought Rank Arena white goods. A tv, a fridge a dishwasher , a washing machine, all in the 300 to 500 dollar range. Still have a freezer from them going strong 30 years later. Never ever bought whitegoods from another company back then not matter how cheap the opposition was.
