Newbridge

You can camp at the footy reserve, alongside the Loddon River for $15 per night. Camp fees can be paid at the local store ( there is only one  ) or fees will be collected by the grounds keeper. There are showers, toilets & camp fire pits. The river is suitable for paddling, fishing & a little kayaking or simply cooling off on a warm day. If you want to ski you need to travel approx 6 klms towards Bridgewater where you will find a boat ramp You can then ski downstream of the ramp or fish back up stream. Great water for Cod & Yellowbelly. There is also the local Pub where you can enjoy a few frothies.

Yes Newbridge in VIC, is a nice place

I never camped there, but I have been through that area, I am led to believe that the fees go to the footy club

This small town of around 200 people, is (in my opinion), well worth supporting

You're correct, the fees do go to the footy club. This is my town, so yes, please support it. :)

At $15 per night without power or water and an extra $4 for a shower I'd say it's too expensive - they may make more money over the longer term by dropping it to $10 and including shower tokens. Wiki Camps comments seem to agree.

Take a look, for example, at Rupanyup.
