I don't have the problem, but some suggestions/ideas.
Have you been sussed out for other causes of excessive peeing, like diabetes? The medication might not be working because what it is supposed to work for isn't what's going on with you, or isn't the only thing going on with you.
How long since you were diagnosed and, if it's been a while, have they revisited your diagnosis to suss out whether something has progressed/changed? Are you under the supervision of a urologist, or just the gp? If just the gp, maybe it's time to see a specialist?
Sounds awful, hope you get some better answers. :(
Dont understand I believe Duodart is prescribed to help you pee. Thats why I take it after an operation (knee) I could not pee and had a catheter for a month until Duodart kicked in.
Maybe check Duodart web site and try different dr. Cant see how one drug can treat extremes of problematic same time.

Exactly. My father uses this drug to control his prostate enlargement.
Duodart is a medicine that contains two active substances: dutasteride (0.5 mg), and tamsulosin (0.4 mg).
It belongs to a group of medicines called alpha-adrenergic antagonists (also called alpha blockers). Dutasteride blocks the action of 5-alpha reductase enzymes. These enzymes convert testosterone into 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is responsible for prostate hypertrophy. Blocking this enzyme prevents the prostate from further growing. Tamsulosin blocks alpha receptors in the prostate and bladder, relax smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder, and facilitates urination.

You have obviously misunderstood what the Dr said he/she is treating you for a enlarged prostate which will be restricting the flow, maybe this is contributing to your problem and once the prostate shrinks a bit you will be able to urinate properly?
Your concerned so go back to the Dr and ask questions and listen to the answers.
