I would steer well clear of the 6WD conversion unless you have an endless supply of tyres and transmission components. Many years ago the government department I worked for decided to take this route to have the capability to legally carry the payloads that were required to service remote hydrographic monitoring installations, the Toyota Cab Chassis that were converted were not an economical or reliable solution. If you were intending to only travel in straight lines this conversion might be viable, prior to proceeding further request to see a converted vehicle being driven in small diameter circles. You will immediately see the stresses placed upon suspension and transmission components and the amount of tyre scrub produced during this process.
