I certainly do remember them Craig, if they are gramophone record needles

As a young boy with much clearer eyesight, and a matchbox, I was always able to sharpen them, about four times

We had 2 boxes, changed needle after every record and put in to " used box". By the time we had run through the 100 or so, they seemed to regenerate and away we would go again.

Still got a gramophone but didn't change the needles aftet each record.

Tony, I gather you used the striker panel as the sharpening stone(?)
