We advise all consumers that a recall is currently underway for Suburban RV hot water services that meet the above criteria. For more information about this recall, please visit our website here.

We thank you for your patience as we have been working towards initiating the recall inspections on affected Suburban water heaters. We advise we now initiate this recall in Australia for all Australian consumers effective immediately.

We invite you to visit our website at the link below and use our serial number checker to ascertain if youre water heater is affected. If your water heater is not affected, we thank you for taking the time to read this email and check your serial number. If your water heater is affected, please see the below recall procedure.

Recall Procedure 

1. Please visit our serial number checker at www.coastrv.com.au/suburbanrecall 
2. If your water heater is affected by this recall, you will be directed to an online form to register your water heater and vehicle details 
3. Please complete the online form and click submit 
4. You will receive a notification in your web browser to advise you we have received your registration 
5. We will process your registration and email you a work order along with a list of approved recall service agents 
6. Using your unique work order number, you will be able to contact any of the approved recall service agents to book in for an inspection. 
7. When your water heater is inspected, it will receive a pass or fail result 
8. If your water heater passes inspection, a CO detector will be fitted inside your RV and no further work will be required
9. If your water heater fails inspection, it will need to be replaced with a new 2020 Suburban like for like water heater 
10. Replacements may not be available at the service agent when your vehicle is inspected. We will work with you and the service agent to arrange a suitable time to have your water heater replaced within a reasonable time frame. We advise that some service agents will be unable to hold your RV until a replacement arrives.

Additional Information 

• This recall relates to all Australian consumers with water heaters in Australia we are currently finalising the details of the New Zealand recall and we expect to be in a position to initiate this shortly
• Were expecting a large volume of registrations early in the recall process we ask for your patience as we work through issuing work orders for inspections as quickly as we can
• Please do not try to register the same water heater more than once

• Only approved service agents can undertake recall work
• Some service agents do not have customer lounges or waiting facilities
