Well, as a former soldier, that was tested with a treatment, to protect me from something( cannot say, as it is in litigation), they wont be getting my or my wife's body to test this covid vaccine on , until I know it is safe.

Ric, By the time the vaccine gets around to us - All the chooks will be well and truly in the hen-house. It is impossible to guarantee absolute safety from any procedure even an injection, but the probability of being infected by a Virus such as COVID 19, will be certainly lessened by a factor of many thousands.
I'm in no hurry to fall off the twig, and with existing health factors against me I'll be showing up to the vaccination point early to get in line.

I can't help feeling that, if there is widespread reluctance in the community to receive the COVID-19 vaccines, then the blame must be at least partly laid at the government and medical authorities.

When the pandemic began, we were initially told that masks were ineffective, but subsequently we were compelled to wear them. I don't think I could be accused of being cynical when I say that the only difference was that masks were in short supply at the outset, and the government lied to us so that the public wouldn't overwhelm the limited supply.

That said, I'll be holding up my hand for the vaccine as soon as I can get it. You have to trust somebody sometime, and now is the time.

The government and the Army told us, it was 100% safe, and it wasn't , out of the 3000 soldiers, that had the vaccine, only 450, were not damaged, so how safe will this rushed thru covid vaccine be. I will give it a year before I take it., to allow for so many people to die, before they find it truly safe. I do intend to take it, but not before it is proven.

As far as I know everyone will have the right to decide whether they will vaccinate or not - personally I will be taking my advice from a medical practioner rather than what I read from experts on a caravaning website.

What I detest about the vaccine trials is the lack of transparency. Occasionally we hear about adverse reactions, sometimes severe, but there is never any explanation. Eventually this bad news is swept aside and the trial resumes as if nothing happened.

By the time Australia starts rolling out the vaccine, other countries will have been using it for 3 to 4 months. At least we will see if there is any consistent issues with it before we have it here. I for one certainly plan to get it, as I am in the high risk group. I may not be in the first initial stampede, but soon after. Unless a large proportion of the population take it up, we will continue to be plagued by this awful pandemic, and I want to get back to some level of normal and go see my grand kids.
