RE: Controlling Feral Kids

I can still remember when I was kid, many years ago

Within reason, I could do what I wished to do, I have no idea if any oldies, thought that I was running wild, as I probably never asked them

One way to avoid feral kids, is to keep away from caravan parks, and large shopping centres, during school holidays

Both of which we do. The problem is how do you get people with feral kids to stay away from you.

When free camping . I find camp in town or way out of town ! On the outer town area is where youth tend to gather and do dumb things !! So go way out of town, unless theres a common area ? Recreation ground etc ?

You need three things to keep kids under control.

A dam, a brick and a hession bag. wink

In all our years of travel have never experienced a problem with so called "feral" kids.

Perhaps it's something to do with the attitude of the grumpy old bugger.biggrin

we stay away from caravan parks during school holidays but have noticed a new trend. Families staying at showgrounds and free camps. Wonderful. Not.

I have a 11 yo son and we often travel with friends who also have kids and I can guarantee they do not run amok as at least one parent is supervising them at all times. The feral kids are not the problem its the disrespectful and lazy parents that are to blame.
